Fleas are a magical insect aren’t they? They live to anger and frustrate people, and it is rather incredible just how well they do their job. The fleas purpose in life is pretty much to annoy you, and that is it (If you don’t believe me, someone asked yahoo, check this out). We all want this useless abomination away from our homes and out of our lives, but we don’t want to harm our dog in the process of getting rid of them. Here are a few less harsh ways to get rid of the insect we all hate.
1. Lavender is a great way to keep the fleas away. For some reason, these pests hate the wonderful smell of lavender.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar gets rid of fleas quite well. If you aren’t aware, apple cider vinegar has nearly a million uses. Check it out to find out just how wonderful this stuff apparently is. Add a spoonful of this to your dog’s water and it will make their skin more acidic and not enjoyable to fleas.
3. Cut up a lemon into quarters, cover it with hot water, and let it steep overnight. Spray your dog with this lemon water in the morning and fleas will be sure to be on the run. Be sure to spray your dog everywhere and leave no hiding spots for fleas!
